Our Board
The PACIA Board is comprised of twelve leading Chief Executive Officers and Managing Directors from the chemicals and plastics industries. The Board provides leadership to our industry on a range of strategically important issues and ensures that the activities of PACIA are directed to those areas and services that provide greatest value to members.

Greg Witcombe Greg Witcombe is currently Chief Executive Officer, Orica Chemicals Group, based in Melbourne.

Sam Bastounas Sam Bastounas was appointed to the position of President in 2011. |

Cameron Dunn Cameron Dunn was appointed to the PACIA Board in 2007. He is on the Board of the Victorian Transport Association (VITA) Executive Council, Vice Chairman of the VTA General Freight Committee and a member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (MCIT) and the CEO Institute. Cameron was appointed as Managing Director of FBT Transwest in 2009. He lives in Melbourne, with his wife and two daughters. Cameron began his career in 1986 in the logistics industry at United Transport in WA as a Transport Clerk. A career highlight was in 1998 when he was awarded the Young Western Australian Transport and Logistics Professional of the Year.

Ian Hansen Ian Hansen has worked at CSBP Limited for over 20 years, holding management roles in operational and commercial areas of both the chemicals and fertilisers divisions. Prior to his appointment as Managing Director in October 2007, Ian was General Manager of the chemicals business division between 2002 and 2007, and from 2005 to 2007 was also President of the Kwinana Industries Council.

Ross Pilling Managing Director Australia and New Zealand - BASF Australia Ltd Ross is the Managing Director of BASF Australia Ltd and Sub-Regional Head of BASF in Australia and New Zealand. From 2004 until taking up his current role in 2008, Ross was Managing Director of BASF Asia Pacific Service Centre in Malaysia, with the responsibility for establishing a shared services centre to deliver HR, Finance and IT services to 60 BASF companies in 16 Asian countries. Ross joined BASF Australia Ltd. in 1999 as Business Director with responsibility for the Shared Services Platform. He introduced significant organizational and process change in the Supply Chain, IT and assets utilization areas. He was appointed Director in 2002. Prior to joining BASF, Ross had more than 20 years experience in the manufacturing industry in Europe and Australia. Ross is a graduate of The University of Liverpool (UK) in Metallurgy & Materials Science (Hons). He completed his Masters in Industrial Engineering and Administration at the Cranfield Institute of Technology, UK.

Russell Schroeter Russell Schroeter has been a Board member of PACIA since 2008. Russell joined SNF (Australia) Pty Ltd in April 2002 as the General Manager and was appointed to the Board in November 2002. During that time SNF (Australia) Pty Ltd has completed the building of an emulsion flocculant plant and commissioned it in June 2003. Prior to joining SNF, Russell worked with Nalco in various sales and marketing roles in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Russell graduated from the Gordon Institute of Technology in 1976 with a Bachelor of Applied Science."
