EPA Waste Reduction consultation

Influence EPA funding program

EPA Victoria and PACIA is seeking input from industry on opportunities, priorities and preferred funding delivery model for the soon to be launched Waste Reduction Fund.

The Victorian Government has committed $53.7M to help business, councils and communities cut waste and its environmental impacts. Of this, $14M will be allocated over 4 years to assist business with innovations that reduce waste from their daily operations that is sent to landfill.

The criteria, scope, size of grants, etc, are to be determined and to this end PACIA and EPA are together hosting a session to gain industry information on needs, priorities and opportunities relevant to this new funding program.

This will be the only consultation period in the formation of this new program and PACIA members are encouraged to attend or to relay their comments to Peter Bury, PACIA on 03 9426 3818. The Waste Reduction Fund will be open for applications from the end of October 2010, through EPA Victoria.
