The PACIA National Conference was the highlight industry event of the year for the Australian chemicals and plastics industries in 2009 .The conference was held at the Novotel St Kilda, Melbourne, on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of June.

Survive and Thrive: Positioning for the Future
The National Conference theme was ‘Survive and Thrive: Positioning for the Future’. The conference focused on providing the chemicals and plastics industries with special access to expert speakers and analysis in light of the recent global financial crisis and in response to challenges posed by global climate change.
It was a forward looking conference and provided a forum for the leadership necessary for our industry to better position for a more prosperous and sustainable future.
Who attended?
The PACIA National Conference was attended by Chief Executives, senior managers and other representatives from Australian and multinational chemicals and plastics companies. Participants from government, media and non-government groups were also actively involved.
