Marketing Communications Coordinator
The Plastics and Chemicals Industry Association (PACIA) is offering an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Communications Coordinator to join our team. PACIA is a preferred employer and is a leader in providing industry advocacy, sustainability leadership and member services on behalf of its members. Our offices are in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra. You will join our Melbourne Head Office in Abbotsford overlooking the Yarra River.
The Role
Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will assist in the delivery of relevant and timely communications to PACIA members, government, media and the general public. In addition, you will be required to prepare targeted messages as part of industrial campaigns and communications strategies.
This hands-on communications coordination and content development role will include:
- Publishing our monthly e-newsletter
- Web design, copy development and maintenance
- Development, design of flyers, posters, magazine ads and other print collateral
- Design and maintenance of industry fact sheets and policy papers
- Execution and analysis of email marketing campaigns, including HTML content
- Co-ordination, set up and attendance of industry events and conferences
Experience and Qualifications
You will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, are quick to learn, resourceful, have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, strong time management skills and a creative flair.
You may be an entry-level graduate, although you will ideally have two to three years experience in a similar role or industry. The flexible working conditions would ideally suit a more experienced person returning to work on a part time basis.You will ideally be tertiary qualified in marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field. You will have a good working understanding of the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Dreamweaver, or be able to develop these skills quickly.
A proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel is a given; and you must be comfortable using a straightforward Content Management System for website maintenance, however familiarisation will be provided.
An excellent remuneration package is offered commensurate with experience and qualifications, on a pro rata three day week basis.
