EPA Victoria
EPA Victoria has been a major supporter of PACIA's Sustainability programs over a number of years. This partnership is vital to the activities and achievements in this area.
PACIA signed onto our second Sustainability Covenant with EPA Victoria in April 2009. The Covenant partnership provides access to $3M in funding between 2009-2011 to support PACIA's sustainability programs, and provide access to direct funding for PACIA members. EPA's support for the implementation of the Sustainability Leadership Framework is a key focus of our Covenant and work together.

Sustainability Victoria
Sustainability Victoria and PACIA have had a long association in jointly delivering environmental sustainability programs for the plastics and chemicals sector. More recently, PACIA and Sustainability Victoria signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in September 2009 to formalise a strategic partnership consistent both with PACIA’s Sustainability Leadership Framework and Sustainability Victoria’s Strategic and Business plan.
This partnership will enable PACIA members to access a wider range of opportunities and will assist companies in integrating the Framework within their business planning.

The Australian Government Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts develops and implements national policy, programs and legislation to protect and conserve Australia's environment and heritage and to promote Australian arts and culture.

NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water
The NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water works towards a healthy environment cared for and enjoyed by the whole NSW community. The DECCW's wide-ranging responsibilities include climate change and greenhouse issues, air and water quality, noise control, and regulation of chemicals.

Worksafe Victoria
Worksafe Victoria is a partner particularly aligned to the Industry goal for Health and Safety: “An industry where people are safe and free of injury and disease”.
Worksafe Victoria funded the Plastics Industry Improvement Plan project which PACIA took a lead role in developing and implementing.

Victorian Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development
The Victorian Department of Innovation, Industry and Regional Development (DIIRD) is a partner to the support PACIA Sustainability Leadership Framework. This is aligned with the Department’s Industry and Trade business unit role of focusing on the development of sustainable, growth oriented industries.

Queensland Department of Environment and Resource Management
The Queensland Department of Environment and Resource Management promotes sustainable living and resource conservation to Queensland’s householders and industry to help reduce carbon emissions and conserve energy, water and materials.
The Department assists industry to ‘invest, compete and profit sustainably’ through a range of targeted industry programs including the ecoBiz eco-efficiency program, ClimateSmart Business Clusters, QWESTNet technology information forums, ClimateSmart Retail program, the ClimateSmart Business Associations Program, and the Partnerships Program.
The Department is partnering with PACIA to deliver the Sustainability Leadership Framework in Queensland, to improve industry eco-efficiency and build to the capacity of Queensland industries to meet the challenges of a financially and carbon constrained economy.

Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO)
CSIRO is Australia's national science agency and one of the largest and most diverse research agences worldwide. CSIRO and PACIA have had a long association in working together to support the Australian plastics and chemicals industry. More recently, CSIRO became a partner to the Sustainability Leadership Framework to further support the integration of sustainability across the industry.
This partnership aligns closely with the aspirations of CSIRO, including a focus on solutions to critical issues for Australia such as water and climate change, positioning Australian industry to realise business opportunities from sustainability, and demonstrating leadership by partnering across industry, government, research, community and stakeholders.

Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Polymers
The Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Polymers is a joint venture between its participants, that was established and is supported under the Australian Government’s Cooperative Research Centres Program.
It is conducting agreed research, commercialisation, education and administration programs. These programs are carried out collaboratively between the participating companies, the participating universities and Government research laboratories in Australia.
