
The PACIA National Conference 2012 will be the highlight industry event of the year for the Australian chemistry industry. The conference will be held at the Amora Hotel Jamison, Sydney, on the 12th, 13th and 14th of June with dinner at the world class Museum of Contemporary Art.
Conference theme
The theme and program for the conference will be ‘Under Pressure: The future of Australian chemicals and plastics manufacturing’.
Our aim is to explore the positive steps required by government and industry to ensure the future viability and success of chemicals and plastics manufacturing in Australia.
Who will attend?
The conference will be attended by Chief Executives, senior managers and other representatives from Australian and multinational chemicals and plastics companies. Participants from government, media and non-government groups will also attend as both speakers and guests.
Session themes will include:
- The Australian economy in a global marketplace
- Politics, polls and the upcoming Federal Election
- 'Under Pressure': The future of Australian Manufacturing
- Perspectives from Industry Chief Executives
- Innovation and the future of Australian manufacturing
- Productivity – the make or break challenge for the future of manufacturing
- Sustainability – substance or spin?; and
- A special presentation by Darren Flanagan, the man behind the
Beaconsfield Mine rescue
