I am delighted to provide you with a copy of the Prepare 2030: Key Themes and Directions document that includes a summary of the Workshop Forum held in April, in Melbourne.
I hope you enjoy reading this document and the outcomes of the Forum, and would be delighted if you shared it with your team.
We have provided a broad context in the introductory part of the document. It outlines the evolution of the chemicals and plastics industry in Australia and the solutions it provides. This illustrates the positive contribution of the industry to Australia and our quality of life, while also highlighting the intrinsic role the sector plays in the economy and throughout major supply chains.
The document summarises key points from the speakers on the four main drivers identified. Importantly, it also summarises the results delivered by the workshop including the threats and opportunities.
The Prepare 2030 Program, and in particular the Workshop Forum, plays an important role in identifying issues Australia will need to deal with on the way to 2030. I welcome your input and feedback and again extend a special thank you to our key supporting partners Sustainability Victoria and EPA Victoria.
